Like all video poker games also Jacks or Better Double Up is based on the traditional poker (card) game, in which players need to form certain ‘poker hands’ out of 5 dealt cards (from a deck of 52 cards), with each poker hand representing a certain value. After the first set of 5 cards is dealt the player can choose to ‘hold’ certain cards (likely to form a poker hand) after which in the ‘draw’ the not held cards will be replaced.

Jacks or Better Double Up Video Poker Bet Limits
As stated in Jacks or Better Double Up video poker both the bet level as well as the coin value to play with can be adjusted. You can choose from a bet level from 1 up to 5 and coin values (in the 1 hand version) of 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 euro, 2 euros, 5 euros, and 10 euros. The bet level represents the amount of coins that is wagered on each hand. Therefore the minimum and maximum bet of the 1 hand version of video poker Jacks or Better Double Up can be calculated as follows:
Minimum bet: bet level 1 x coin value 10 cents = 0.10 euro
Maximum bet: bet level 5 x coin value of 10 euro = 50 euros
Note: the minimum and maximum possible bet per game round depends on the amount of hands (1, 5, 10 or 25) with which is played.
Pay Table / Win Plan
Each poker hand in Jacks or Better Double Up has its own pay out value. You can find these values in the pay table of the game, in the 1 hand version displayed in the center of your screen and in the multiple hands versions it will pop up after clicking the PAYTABLE button (on the right-hand side of the screen). The pay table shows what a certain poker hand will pay out (coin value x a certain multiplier) on the bet levels 1 up to 5.
The pay table on the left-hand side of the screen shows how many times the poker hand(s) that have been formed in a game round have to payout how many coins (the latter not only depending on the value of the specific poker hand, but also depending on with which bet level is played). In the 1 hand version this of course will always be a 1 time a certain poker hand coin value but in multiple hand versions multiple poker hands can be formed that have to pay out the poker hand value in coins.
In Netent Jacks or Better Double Up video poker a Royal Straight Flush is the poker hand with the highest value and pays out the wagered coin value x 4000 when playing on the highest bet level. The lowest valued poker hand is Jacks or Better that will (when played on the lowest bet level) pay out the chosen coin value x 1.

Jacks or Better Double Up Video Poker Manual
Before playing a game round on video poker Jacks or Better Double Up the player needs to adjust the game’s settings. With how many hands (1, 5, 10 or 25) at once per gaming round is played needs to be chosen, the bet level needs to be set and the coin value needs to be configured.
These settings can be adjusted by clicking on the arrows on either sides of the HANDS, LEVEL and COIN VALUE displays. Note: as soon as BET LEVEL is adjusted the values depicted in the two pay tables are adjusted too.
By clicking the MIDDLE ROUND BUTTON a game round is started and the player gets 5 cards dealt. If immediately a poker hand is dealt the cards forming this poker hand will automatically be held. If this is not the case the player must choose which cards must be held by clicking on them (clicking again will deselect held cards).
By clicking the middle button again the ‘draw’ will take place, meaning the replacement of all cards that weren’t held by new cards to thus form the final hand.
The left-hand side pay table will immediately after the draw show how many times which poker hands were formed and how many coins will be paid out according to the bet level which was played with. So what’s eventually paid out is the amount of poker hands formed x their value in coins x the coin value.
Video poker Jacks or Better Double Up has the Double Up special game feature with which a player can double a game round winning up to 5 times. After a winning game round the GAMBLE button can be clicked, after which the Double Up feature will open. The player is dealt 5 cards face-down and needs to guess, by clicking the red or black button, which color the next card will be. If the player guessed right, the winnings are doubled and this can be repeated another 4 times. If however the player is wrong all winnings are lost. The player can stop the Double Up feature whenever desired, collect the winnings and return to the main game.
