All American Double Up Video Poker Game Tutorial
All American Double Up video poker is a single player online poker game that can be played on up to 5 bet levels, with various coin values and with 1, 5, 10 or 25 hands. For explanatory reasons in this tutorial, we will assume playing the 1 hand version. The special options of video poker American Double Up are the Jacks or Better extra poker hand and the Double Up feature.
All American Double Up is played with 1 deck of 52 cards (that is shuffled each time before a hand is dealt) and, like in all Netent video poker games, also in All American Double Up video poker the basic poker rules are applied.
The player needs to form ‘poker hands’, a fixed series or sequence of cards out of 5 cards dealt. These dealt cards each can be changed (the ‘draw’) for another card, to thus try to form the best possible poker hand. All American Double Up video poker has a special ‘extra’ poker hand, Jacks or Better.
All American Double Up poker Hands
The poker hands used in All American Double Up video poker (in order from most to less value) are:
- Royal Straight Flush: A, K, Q, J, 10 from the same suit.
- Straight Flush: 5 consecutive cards from the same suit (8, 9, 10, J and Q of clubs for example)
- Four of a Kind: 4 cards with the same value (5, 5, 5, 5 for example)
- Full House: 3 cards of the same value and two cards of the same value (5, 5, 5 and J, J for example)
- Flush: 5 cards from the same suit (5 clubs for example)
- Straight: 5 consecutive cards from different suits
- Three of a Kind: three cards with the same value (5, 5, 5 or J, J, J for example)
- Two Pair: 2 x a pair (5, 5 and J, J for example)
- Jacks or Better: a pair of Jacks, Queens, Kings, or a pair of Aces
All American Double Up Video Poker Bet Limits
As stated in All American Double Up video poker both the bet level as well as the coin value to play with can be adjusted. You can choose from a bet level from 1 up to 5 and coin values (in the 1 hand version) of 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 euro, 2 euros, 5 euros, and 10 euros. The bet level represents the amount of coins that is wagered on each hand. Therefore the minimum and maximum bet of the 1 hand version of video poker All American Double Up can be calculated as follows:
Minimum bet: bet level 1 x coin value 10 cents = 0.10 euro
Maximum bet: bet level 5 x coin value of 10 euro = 50 euros
Note: the minimum and maximum possible bet per game round depend on the number of hands (1, 5, 10 or 25) with which is played.
Pay Table / Win Plan
Each poker hand in All American Double Up has its own payout value. You can find these values in the paytable of the game, in the 1 hand version directly in the center of your screen and in multiple hands versions it will pop up after clicking the PAYTABLE button (on the right-hand side of the screen). The paytable shows what a certain poker hand will pay out on the bet levels 1 up to 5.
The pay table on the left-hand side of the screen shows how many times the poker hand(s) that have been formed in a game round have to payout how many coins (the latter not only depending on the value of the specific poker hand but also depending on with which bet level is played).
The poker hand with the highest value is a Royal Straight Flush that will pay out the coin value x 4000 when playing on the highest bet level. The lowest valued poker hands are Jacks or Better and Two pair that will pay out the chosen coin value x 5 (also on the highest bet level).
Possible Settings
All American Double Up video poker has a number of settings that may be adjusted to your liking. You do this by using the three icons you can find at the bottom left of the screen:
- With the question mark icon the game rules can be consulted
- The sound can be turned on or off by using the speaker icon
The wrench icon allows you to also adjust the following settings
- Sound Effects: turns the sound effects on or off
- Fast Play: turns the fast play mode on or off
- Always play “Double Up”: turns the Double Up feature permanently on
- Never play “Double Up”: turns the Double Up feature permanently off
- Game History (not available in practice games): shows the player’s game history
All American Double Up Video Poker Manual
The first thing to do when playing video poker All American Double Up is to adjust the game’s settings. hands (1, 5, 10 or 25) is played A certain coin value needs to be chosen and set, as well as the desired bet level from 1 to 5 and with how many at once per gaming round.
This can be done by clicking on the arrows beside the HANDS, LEVEL and COIN VALUE displays. As soon as the bet level is adjusted the pay table(s) will adjust their values accordingly.
Clicking the MIDDLE ROUND BUTTON will start a game round and 5 cards are dealt. Any poker hands will automatically be held, but when no poker hand is immediately dealt the player must choose which cards must be held by clicking on them (clicking again will deselect held cards).
By clicking the middle button again the ‘draw’ will take place, meaning the replacement of all cards that weren’t held.
The left-hand side pay table will immediately show which poker hands were formed (and how many times) and how many coins will be paid out according to the bet level which was played with.
All American Double Up video poker offers the possibility to double a winning up to 5 times. This is done by clicking the GAMBLE button after a game round with a win which will open the Double Up feature. The player is presented with 5 face-down dealt cards and needs to guess, by clicking red or black, which color the next card will be. Each time the player guessed right, up to possibly 5 times, the wins are doubled. If however, the player is wrong all winnings are lost… At all times the player can stop the Double Up feature, collect the winnings and return to the main game.
